Tasting Notes: Deep garnet-purple in color, the Latour Martillac comes barreling out of the glass with bold notes of baked blackberries, plum preserves and redcurrant jelly, plus suggestions of garrigue, pencil shavings and menthol with a waft of tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a sturdy frame of firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness to support the generous fruit, finishing long and earthy.

94 points Wine Enthusiast: Rich with great fruits and structure, this wood-aged wine brings out the crisp texture of Sauvignon Blanc while having a creamy character and light toastiness.

The Domain: Owned since 2005 by the Merlaut family, managed by Céline Villars Foubet and Jean-Pierre Foubet, Château de Camensac is an estate founded in the 18th century in the Haut-Médoc appellation. This 5th Grand Cru Classé of 1855 was the subject of significant investments, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, which enabled the estate to be equipped with the best equipment. Château de Camensac now stands out as an important Bordeaux reference, offering fantastic value for price.
