Alcohol: 12%
Grape(s): Garganega
Localization: Veneto, Italy
Tasting notes: Soave "Le Bine de Costiola" is a Venetian white wine of medium structure of great expressiveness. Aged 10 months in steel tanks, the bouquet is elegant and precise, with fresh fruity notes, hints of minerals and memories of jasmine and fennel. The taste is harmonious, mineral, pleasantly citrusy and savory.
The Domain: Aspiring to excellence, owners Gaetano and Pio Francesco Tamellini have earned the estate an outstanding reputation as one of only two dozen estate-bottled growers and producers of authentic Soave.
The 34 hectares of vineyards are planted to 100% Garganega (27 hectares of Soave DOC and 7 hectares of Soave Classico) and lie in one of the most classic zones of production which is San Vittore, at the foot of the hills, where they produce Soave DOC from the zone of Costeggiola from which Tamellini produce their single vineyard ‘Le Bine’. No type of herbicide is used, only the grass is mown. No mineral or organic fertilisers are used.
