Alcohol: 15.3%

Rice Variety: Gohyakumankoku

Localization: Kyoto, Japan

Tasting Notes: A classic style of sake; clean, light, and refreshing. Aromas of macadamia oatmeal cookie, spicy zucchini bread, and vanilla cream with a satiny fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a layered, banana custard, jicama, salted whole nut, apple, and radish nuanced finish. Wonderfully vibrant and flavorful sake.

Food Pairing: This elegant and well-balanced sake pairs well with seafood, salads, tofu or the Japanese type of skewered & grilled chicken called Yakitori. Also pairs well with sushi/sashimi, chilled soba noodles, seaweed salad, hard cheeses, ceviche, hummus, light hors d’oeuvres and salads.

The Domain: Eikun sake uses water from a source called "Fusui", rated as one of the top 100 sources of water in Japan. This water source is located just south of Kyoto, the cultural - and former imperial - capital of Japan.

Water Lords is made from Gohyakumankoku rice. This rice is most commonly found growing along the northwestern coast of Japan, although the region of Niigata is often credited with putting this rice strain on the map.
