Alcohol: 13,5%
Grape(s): Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette
Localization: Cairanne, Southern Rhône, France
Tasting notes: The wine opens with delicate aromas of white flowers, stone fruits such as peach and apricot, and a touch of citrus zest. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with fresh acidity that lifts the flavors while a rounded texture provides balance and depth. The finish is mineral-driven, lingering with subtle herbal notes that add complexity and elegance.
Food pairing: This Cairanne Blanc is wonderfully versatile at the table, pairing effortlessly with grilled or roasted chicken seasoned with herbs and a wide range of seafood dishes such as shrimp, scallops, or delicate white fish. Its freshness and subtle complexity also complement Mediterranean cuisine, from ratatouille to olive tapenade, while the rounded texture makes it a natural match for soft cheeses like goat cheese or creamy brie.
The Domain: Romain Duvenay is a talented oenologist associated with the company NewRhône Millésimes, known as one of the finest palates of the region by his peers.
After perfecting his art in Bordeaux, in Languedoc and Burgundy, and while working for a national restaurant trade distributor, he quickly falls in love with all the resources of the Rhône Valley, especially for its iconic grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
Knowing all the finest points of grape varieties and terroirs, in 2010 Romain Duvernay creates the brand which bears his name, showcasing his talent equally with appellations from the north and the south of the Rhône Valley.
In 2016, Jean-Marc Pottiez, creator and developer of major brands in Champagne and Burgundy, and confident in the development potential of a viticultural production region as rich as the Rhone Valley decided to create the company NewRhône Millésimes. To this end, he teams up with the talented Romain DUVERNAY and buys his signature brand.
Under this signature, Romain Duvernay and Jean-Marc Pottiez then develop several partnerships between domains of the South and the North of the Rhone Valley and the company NewRhône Millésimes, with the aim of finding the most beautiful expressions of the terroirs and grape varieties of this region rich in diversity.
