Winery Story: Pierre-Jean Villa is one of the Rhône’s quiet revolutionaries. After co-founding Les Vins de Vienne, he launched his own domaine in 2009, focusing on purity and terroir. With 17 hectares across Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, and Côte-Rôtie, he farms organically and vinifies with restraint. The “Carmina” cuvée is named after Carmina Burana, evoking power, sensuality, and musical precision. Villa’s Côte-Rôtie is a masterclass in balance—structured yet lyrical, bold yet nuanced. It’s Syrah with soul.
