Tasting Notes: A fresh, easy fruit driven, dry rosė wine, naturally lighter in alcohol. Pale pink with blue tints. Strong nose of strawberries and blueberries, making a fresh and fruity attack balanced with roundness and life. Lasting fruity end.

Food pairing: To be served chilled on its own or with fish, barbecue meat, salads or pasta.

The Domain: The Petit Balthazar wines come from the creative mind of Pierrick Harang, a fifth-generation wine professional whose family roots trace back to the Champagne region—his father was the Chef de Cave at Mumm. Pierrick, however, chose the sun-drenched vineyards of southern France to craft his own story.

After graduating top of his class in oenology at Montpellier in 1998, he worked as a wine buyer before founding his own label in 2007. Today, he collaborates with Les Celliers Jean d’Alibert, one of the most respected cooperatives in the Languedoc, selecting only about 2% of the fruit available to create his wines.

The Petit Balthazar range is all about freshness, balance, and low alcohol—typically around 11%—making them approachable and food-friendly. They’re crafted with precision and a light touch, reflecting Pierrick’s philosophy: “No château, but great wines.”
