Winery Story: Founded by Adam Tolmach in 1983, The Ojai Vineyard is a cult favorite among sommeliers and wine lovers seeking purity, nuance, and site expression. Tolmach, a pioneer of cool-climate winemaking in Santa Barbara, sources fruit by the acre to ensure full control of farming and yields. The “Clima Frío” series replaces the former Santa Barbara County cuvées, spotlighting the region’s westernmost, ocean-influenced vineyards. This 2023 Chardonnay is a debut bottling that captures the tension between coastal freshness and leesy depth—an elegant, mineral-driven wine that speaks of place, patience, and precision.
