Alcohol: 15%
Grape(s): 100% Palomino
Localization: Andalucia, Spain
Tasting Notes: Bright yellow colour with golden reflections. This Manzanilla is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and flor aromas. Bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate. Delicate and refreshingly acid with a lingering aftertaste.
Notes: Aged following biological ageing, under a veil of yeast called “flor” in the cool, humid, salty air of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a fishing town on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river.
Papirusa means “elegant and beautiful”. It was the name of the doll that Emilio Lustau gave the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, first manager of Bodegas Lustau in the ’40s.
Food Pairing: A perfect dry aperitif, but also great with fresh seafood, oysters and fish dishes. Serve at 7 – 9 ºC
The Domain: Each year, our vineyards receive roughly 3,000 hours of sunshine, accompanied by relatively heavy rainfalls of about 600 l/ m².
The landscape of the area consists primarily of white limestone hills, known as albariza. Its singularity is due to the fact that long ago this region was under the ocean for millennia.
