Winery Story: Bodegas Ateca, founded in 2005, is part of the Gil Family Estates. Located in the town of Ateca, 14 km from Calatayud. The winery focuses on expressive Garnacha from high-altitude, slate-rich vineyards. Honoro Vera Garnacha gained fame when Ridley Scott purchased all available bottles during filming in Spain. It was later served at the Oscars dinner and is a favorite of Denzel Washington. The label’s androgynous face symbolizes inclusivity—crafted for all wine lovers, regardless of age or style.
