The Filet Bleu brand was created in 1920. From Breton thatched cottages to Parisian tables, spoon cookies, galettes and other petits beurre have been delighting gourmets for almost a century. In 1919, Henri Friant, a former sailor, and his wife Marie founded a cookie factory in Pont L'Abbé. In homage to Breton sailors, he named his company Biscuiterie du Filet Bleu. In 1950, Biscuiterie du Filet Bleu became Brittany's first industrial cookie factory.
