Alcohol: 12,5%
Grape(s): Pinot Noir
Localization: Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Tasting Notes: Clear dense purple. The nose is tighter than the Vieilles Vignes cuvée, with more in reserve, even some light blackcurrant notes. The wine has concentration and length, dark fruit style, the tannins are present but a silent partner, the Morey St-Denis influence in play. Properly persistent.
Food Pairing: Duck, Goose, and Game Birds
Les Sentiers is located beneath the Bonnes Mares grand cru, north of the village, and shares similar soils. The Magnien "Sentiers" is from vines ranging from 45 to 90 years old and ages for 12 months in barrel, 10% new, then 2 to 3 months in cuve inox.
