My grandfather Victor Chaland began cultivating vines in the 1930s, my father Jean-Noël took over in 1967 with his first vintage vinified at the Domaine. It was in the year 2000 that I created Domaine Sainte Barbe with an area of 4 hectares.

Our vineyard has always been maintained and plowed without the use of synthetic herbicides, it is with this in mind of respecting the soil and expressing our terroirs that the Estate obtained certification in Organic Agriculture in 2003.

The harvest is 100% manual.
