Tasting Notes: A wine of character, a beautiful classic whose quality remains consistent from vintage to vintage. An intense aromatic bouquet of white fruits and candied citrus bursts forth on the nose, evolving into mineral and toasty notes. The palate is long and rich yet fresh, fruity and complex, with a persistent mineral character that reveals the identity of the Bregeonnette terroir. Lovely acidity.

Food pairing: Crustaceans and seafood, Cold cuts, Goat cheeses, Cakes, Fruit Salads

Winery Story: At Domaine de la Brégeonnette, Stéphane Orieux represents the third generation of winemakers committed to organic farming for over 20 years. In Tillières, in the Nantes vineyards, he crafts pure, precise, and vibrant Muscadets that reveal the full character of the schist soils. It's a sincere approach, a blend of respect for the terroir and family heritage.

Domaine de la Brégeonnette embodies a deep family history dating back to 1946. It was then that Marcel Pineau, Stéphane Orieux's maternal grandfather, settled in Tillières (Maine-et-Loire) with 5 hectares of vines. In 1964, his son, Joseph Orieux, purchased the former property of the Marquis de Rochechouart: Domaine de la Brégeonnette, in Vallet. After 20 years of working in organic farming, he obtained Ecocert certification in 1997. That same year, Stéphane, the third generation, took over the reins. He is committed to producing pure, precise wines and restoring the Muscadet to its former glory.

At Stéphane Orieux's estate, everything is based on respect for life and the identity of the terroir. The estate has been certified organic for over a quarter of a century, a process initiated by Joseph and rigorously pursued. No chemical inputs, living soils, and encouraged biodiversity. The team follows natural rhythms, cultivates with care, and listens to the vines. The objective is simple: that each vintage expresses the soul of its place, without artifice. A philosophy of humility and transmission, where the wine is not molded, but revealed, vintage after vintage, with sincerity.
