The Domain: Venus La Universal is a winery in Montsant, Spain, founded by Sara Pérez and René Barbier (Fils)—both children of Priorat pioneers. Their vision was to craft wines that express femininity and elegance, drawing inspiration from the goddess Venus.
The winery follows organic farming practices, ensuring that its vineyards maintain ecological integrity. The Dido grapes grow on decomposed granite soils, which contribute to their vibrant fruit flavors, while the Venus grapes are cultivated in clay-calcareous soils, leading to a slower, more complex ripening process.
