Tasting Notes: Aromatic nose with succulent fruit, blackcurrants, ripe cherries and plums, distinct roasting aroma, coffee and chocolate, and an almost smoky character. On the palate, well structured with ripe tannins, pleasant fruit and mild spices, well balanced with good length.
Notes: Between 12 and 14 months in barrels: 50% new barrels – 50% one wine barrels
Food pairing: Château Tour Sieujean Pauillac pairs best with roasted, braised, or grilled meats like lamb, beef, and game, as well as earthy dishes featuring mushrooms or truffle flavors.
Winery Story: The family has been settled on the estate for four generations. They produced wine until 1948 under the name “Château La Tour Sieujean”. At that time, we decided to join the Pauillac cooperative cellar. During a few decades, cellars were used as a cowshed and a stable.
