Tasting Notes: This former old property of the Countesses of Rochefort has 32 acres planted just southeast of Libourne in St. Sulpice-de-Faleyrens along the Dordogne River's rich soils in Saint-Emilion. This St.-Emilion shows elegant aromatics of raspberries and blackberries wafting from the glass, intertwined with subtle notes of earth and spice. The very first sip showcases a vibrancy of youthful fruit with soft tannins to match.

Notes: This a second label by Château Gravet, a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.

Food pairing:  Beef entrecôte, lamb chops, or venison. Confit duck or roasted duck breast. Mushroom risotto or truffle-infused dishes. Aged cheeses like Comté or Gruyère. Beef bourguignon or cassoulet.

The Domain: Château La Caze Bellevue is a winery in the Saint-Émilion region of France, known for its rich terroir and dedication to producing high-quality wines. The vineyard spans 13 hectares and primarily cultivates Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%), with vines averaging 20 years old. Philippe Faure manages the estate, having overseen the vineyard since 1998.

Historically, Château La Caze Bellevue was once owned by the Comtesses de Rochefort, adding a touch of aristocratic heritage to its story. Today, the winery continues to craft wines that highlight the red fruit flavors and clay-limestone soils characteristic of Saint-Émilion
