Alcohol: 13.5%

Grape(s): 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo, 5% Colorino

Localization: Chianti Montalbano DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red with violet reflections. Aromas of blackberry and wild violet mingle with hints of spice, pencil shavings, and leather. On the palate, it’s fresh and full-bodied, with balanced tannins and a savory finish.

Notes: Aged 12 months in large oak casks, followed by 3 months in steel and 3 months in bottle. Sustainably farmed with minimal intervention, highlighting the finesse and liveliness of the Montalbano terroir.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with wild boar ragù, grilled meats, casseroles, and aged pecorino. Also excellent with mushroom lasagna or rosemary lamb chops.

The Domain: The winery was established in 1903 by Bartolomeo Baldi, the great-uncle of the current owners, brothers Guido and Gherardo Betti. In fact, the Betti family is originally from Florence, and in the past, the winery was the so-called country home. In 2003, Guido and Gherardo made a pivotal decision that would define their lives: they dedicated themselves fully to viticulture, transforming the family's long-standing secondary activity into a modern winery. Guido, born in 1978, supervises the Italian and Export sales whereas Gherardo, born in 1983, manages the enological and agronomical sector: over time they made the winery not only a destination for visitors interested in having a wine experience but also for those interested in the artistic beauties of the territory and therefore willing to admire the winery building as well as the works of art exhibited in the park.
