Tasting Notes: The wine presents a graceful and expressive profile that captures the essence of Corsican terroir. Aromatically, it opens with delicate notes of white flowers and acacia, lifted by bright lemon and a subtle touch of peach. On the palate, the wine is mineral and saline, crisp and focused, with a waxy texture that carries hints of peach and citrus. The finish is marked by lively acidity, mouthwatering precision, and a youthful elegance that makes it both refreshing and refined.
Notes: Crafted with meticulous care, the winemaking process begins with manual harvesting and careful sorting to ensure only the healthiest grapes are used. Whole-cluster pressing is followed by cold settling at 8°C for 24 hours, preserving purity and freshness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 18°C over 15–20 days, with no malolactic fermentation to retain vibrancy. The wine is then aged for six months in stainless steel cuves before being bottled fresh, emphasizing clarity and energy.
Food pairing: This Corsican white is a versatile partner at the table. It pairs beautifully with seafood such as grilled fish, oysters, sea urchins, and lobster, where its saline character enhances ocean flavors. It also complements Mediterranean cuisine, from herb-driven dishes and fresh salads to tomato-based pasta. For cheese lovers, Corsican tomme-style varieties provide a perfect match. Served well chilled at 8–10°C, it also shines as a refreshing apéritif.
Winery Story: Behind the wine is the story of Yves Leccia, a respected vigneron from Patrimonio who comes from a long line of Corsican winemakers. After working with his family, he established his own domaine in 2004 with his wife Sandrine, focusing on the E Croce vineyard overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Florent. Known for organic farming, low yields, and terroir-driven precision, Leccia has become one of Corsica’s most refined producers. His YL range (Blanc, Rouge, Rosé) represents his signature style—approachable yet precise wines that embody the identity and spirit of Corsica.
