Winery Story: Domaine Yoyo is the soulful project of Laurence Manya Krief, a former fashion executive who traded Paris runways for the rugged slopes of Banyuls-sur-Mer. Since 2008, she’s farmed 5 hectares of old vines organically, often with the help of her mule, Uma. Her vineyards cling to steep, schist-laced hillsides overlooking the sea, and her winemaking is resolutely low-intervention—carbonic maceration, neutral oak, and minimal sulfur. “La Tranchée” is a flagship cuvée: juicy, floral, and mineral, with a texture that’s both rustic and refined. It’s a wine that channels the wild beauty of the Agriates and the quiet rebellion of its maker.
