Tasting Notes: Lively and medium-bodied, Viña Cartín Albariño is brimming with citrus and stone fruit aromas. The lightning-like acidity typical of coastal Albariño is slightly tempered during production; a small percentage goes through malolactic fermentation, subtly broadening the mid-palate in the final blend. The finish is bright and well-structured.

The Domain: Bodegas Viña Cartín was founded in 1980 and is located in the valley of the Salnes. Since its inception the winery has produced wines with one unique variety, Albariño, and its vineyards have expanded to more growing areas such as Vilanova of Arousa, Meis and Portas. Viña Cartín owns 49 acres of vineyards with vines averaging over 30 years of age. The optimum climate combines with the unique characteristics of the land to support an ideal ripening of the grapes with a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness.
