Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): Carignan
Localization: Southwest France
Tasting Notes: Aromas of blackberry, red currant, plum and a gentle peppery tingle shape the nose on this wine. Juicy flavors combine tart cranberry, goji berry and cherry, with light, subtle tannins and bouncy acidity.
Notes: Although this wine is made with the old grape variety Carignan, the vinification was carried out in a modern style. The grapes are destemmed and crushed. A part passes the modern process of thermovinification and maceration, the other part goes through a traditional maceration on the grapes. The fermentation works at controlled temperature to keep the wine's fruity aromas. The ageing is carried out in tanks with a small amount of French oak staves to add more complexity and roundness to the blend.
The Domain: Two Birds One Stone was crafted by a French winemaker team, who traveled the world, gaining experience in South America, South Africa and Australia before to settling back in France. The resulting range of wine is fruity, easy to drink and reflects both Old and New World styles of winemaking.
