Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): 100% Chardonnay
Localization: Côte d'Or, Burgundy, France — sourced from vineyards near Meursault and Pommard
Tasting Notes: Elegant and restrained, this Chardonnay offers notes of citrus blossom, white peach, and crushed stone. A subtle touch of oak adds texture without overpowering the fruit's purity. The finish is mineral-driven and refreshingly precise.
Notes: Whole-cluster pressed and naturally fermented with minimal intervention. Aged in 90% neutral oak and 10% new barrels, allowing the terroir to shine through. Rodolphe avoids bâtonnage to preserve freshness and clarity.
Food Pairing: Ideal with seared scallops, roast chicken with lemon and herbs, or creamy cheeses like Brillat-Savarin. Also pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto or a simple goat cheese tart.
The Domain: Rodolphe Demougeot took over his family's domaine in 1992 and has since transformed it into a beacon of thoughtful viticulture. With holdings in Meursault, Pommard, and surrounding villages, he farms organically and follows lunar cycles for vineyard and cellar work. His wines reflect humility, precision, and a deep respect for nature.
