Alcohol: 12.5%
Grape(s): 100% Greco
Location: Montefredane, Avellino, Campania, Italy – within the Greco di Tufo DOCG zone, planted on volcanic tufa-rich soils at high elevation
Tasting Notes: Pale straw yellow. Aromas of hedgerow, kumquat, white peach, sage, and white pepper. The palate is vibrant and structured, with stony minerality, sharp acidity, and a long, citrus-laced finish.
Notes: Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness. No oak influence. The volcanic soils and high-altitude vineyards contribute to its tension, clarity, and aging potential.
Food pairing: Grilled fish, pasta with capers and tomato, white meats, seafood risotto, and medium-aged cheeses like Pecorino or Caciocavallo.
Winery Story: Founded in the early 1990s by Giuseppe Loffredo, Pietracupa came into its own under the vision of his son, Sabino “Sammy Bruno” Loffredo, who transformed the estate into one of Campania’s most respected. Located in Montefredane at 600 meters elevation, the vineyards benefit from a cool microclimate and volcanic soils. Sabino’s wines are known for their precision, minerality, and age-worthiness—crafted with a deep respect for terroir and a minimalist, expressive style.
