Tasting Notes: Cassis and blackberry flavors are ripe but mouthwatering in this full-bodied red. A Grenache-dominant blend augmented by smaller proportions of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault, it's buoyantly fruity but maintains a twist of herbal freshness. The wine finishes on complexities of crushed stone, bramble and charred cinnamon.

The Domain:  In medieval times, people from all over Europe made pilgrimages to the spring and chapel at this property, believing the waters had miraculous curative and plague-preventing powers. I haven't seen proof that this wine has miraculous health benefits, but since it's so delicious, I'll play it safe and drink plenty!
Claude Roux runs the Domaine along with his children Isabelle and Julien. His great-grandfather, Jules Roux, planted some of the estate's oldest vineyards, and his grandfather, Lucien Roux, named the Domaine in 1935 for the famous curative spring and adjoining chapel.
