Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): 100% Malbec

Tasting Notes: A well-balanced and enjoyable Malbec from the South-West of France. Light on its feet with silky texture, dark fruit flavors, Mediterranean herb accents, and a long, dry finish. Pleasant aromas of red and black fruits alongside woody notes like nutmeg and cedar wood. Full-bodied and sumptuous on the palate with silky tannins and the same fruity aromas as on the nose.

The Domain: Lionel Osmin & Cie was founded in 2010 by Lionel Osmin and Damien Sartori, with a bold vision: to create a high-quality wine brokerage dedicated to the unique grape varieties of Southwest France. Their wines span a vast region, from Irouléguy to Bergerac, embracing the diversity of terroirs and appellations.
Osmin, originally from Oloron, studied oenology in Toulouse, where he was mentored by Charles Hours of Clos Uroulat. His passion led him to establish the Route des Vins in 1997, an initiative that deepened his understanding of the wine industry.
In 2022, the company expanded by acquiring several vineyards, including Domaine Ladrecht, Clos Joliette, and Château Laurou, securing their supply chain and reinforcing their commitment to quality. By 2024, Lionel Osmin & Cie had sold 2.5 million bottles, placing them among the top five family-run wine brokerage houses outside of cooperatives.
Their philosophy is rooted in discovery, sharing, and bold interpretations of the region’s indigenous grape varieties, such as Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Mauzac, Sauvignon Blanc, Négrette, and Malbec.
