Tasting notes: Ruby red in the glass. The nose immediately reveals clear, red fruits. Cherries and currants initially appear fresh, lively, and above all, stable. On the palate, the round, polished, barely perceptible tannins, cherry, and pepper make an impressive comeback. The finish surprises by reflecting the previous impressions in an unsorted and unfiltered manner. Pepper speaks to the fruit, pressure becomes intense elegance, and tannins become compact and feminine.

93 points Falstaff: It has a deep carmine colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. There is a ripe cherry fruit aroma underlaid with cloves, as well as fresh red berry nuances, herbal notes, and orange peel. It is juicy, elegant, with supporting tannins, sweet fruit, salty nuances, some citrus on the finish, and fresh strawberry notes on the back palate. It is light-footed, and is a firm food wine with ageing potential.

The Domain: Already during his childhood, he showed a deep interest in viticulture and vinification. During his professional wine education and several practicals abroad he expanded his knowledge and learned the secrets about making

great wine showing the sense of place. At an age of 19, Leo Hillinger went to California and learned the basics about organic treatment in the vineyards and cellar. This builds the fundament for today’s success is 100% organic on more than 90

ha of vineyards.
