Winery Story: In 1987, the Giacometti family made a bold move to the remote Désert des Agriates—a rugged, windswept region far from the village of Patrimonio. They took over vines planted in 1966, coaxing life from granite soils under the fierce Libecciu wind. Founder Christian Giacometti passed the torch to his children, Simon and Sarah, who now craft soulful, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention. The “Cru des Agriate” bottling is a pure expression of Corsican character: wild, herbal, and sun-kissed, yet elegant and drinkable. It’s a wine that speaks of resilience, tradition, and the quiet beauty of isolation.
