Tasting Notes: The plot is planted in granite soils, perfect for Gamay vines, and was the first parcel the Domaine acquired, in 1958. The old vines give intense and generous wines that age for up to 14 months in oak barrels. It's a wine of substance worth cellaring. At the same time, it's a fragrant wine of grace and beauty, a joy to drink immediately. 

The Domain: Located at the foot of the famous Colline de Brouilly , in the heart of Beaujolais, Marcelle & Michel BERTRAND created the estate in 1956.
Two decades later, Maryse and Jean-Pierre gradually took up the torch before taking the helm of the estate. in 1996.
In 2014, they were joined by their sons, Julien, to perpetuate the family tradition of the estate, transmitted with passion for three generations.

Domaine Bertrand now extends over 15 ha, from Charentay to Juliénas and offers you identity wines that are representative of the diversity and richness of their terroirs.
You will discover the vintages Brouilly, Fleurie, Juliénas, Moulin à Vent, Beaujolais, and Beaujolais-Villages for a "ride" in all the diversity of Beaujolais.

Concerned about our environment and part of a sustainable approach, the estate has been certified in Organic Agriculture since 2020  and is conducted according to agro-ecology principles.

Rigorous work in the vineyard, harvesting carried out "by hand", we take particular care in developing our different cuvées, from the king grape variety of the region, Gamay, for our red wines and the Chardonnay grape variety. , more confidential, for our white wines.
