Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, and Counoise
Location: Coteaux d’Aix en Provence AOP, France
Tasting Notes: Offers classic aromas of wild strawberries and red currants, with a light, floral character, and a crisp, bone-dry palate.
Notes: Made with Organic Grapes. Yields of 4 tons/acre. Vines average 26 years in age, except for the Rolle and Sauvignon Blanc, from new 4 to 7-year-old vineyards. Harvested very early in the morning to preserve the freshness of the grapes.
Food pairing: A rosé of reference, to be enjoyed on its own or with a wide range of lighter fare and Provence-inspired cuisine— drink year-round with everything from cheese and charcuterie plates, to salads, poultry, and seafood.
The Domain: Bargemone is among the foremost estates of the Côteaux d’Aix appellation of Provence. A benchmark producer of the delicious, dry rosé for which Provence is famous, the Commanderie was founded by Templar knights in the 13th century and is home to a proud viticultural tradition and more than 160 acres of sustainably grown vineyards. Pierre Einaudi continues the tradition of thoughtful production - their estate now is 100% Carbon Neutral and features a complete use of Solar Panels, Additions of Electric Machinery, and an Emphasis on Preservation.
