Alcohol: 12.5%

Grape(s): 100% Erbaluce

Location: Piedmont, Italy

Tasting Notes: The Cieck Erbaluce di Caluso presents a pale straw yellow color with delicate greenish highlights. On the nose, it offers fresh citrus, crisp green apple, subtle floral tones, and a distinct mineral character. The palate is lively and medium-bodied, marked by vibrant acidity, tangy stone fruit, pulpy lemon, and a clean minerality that adds precision. It finishes refreshingly, with a slightly saline edge that beautifully reflects the moraine soils of its Piedmont terroir.

Notes: Aged 4 months in stainless steel to preserve aromatics and purity

Food pairing: Excellent with fresh fish, shellfish, sushi, and seafood pasta. Pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, creamy dishes, or rich charcuterie thanks to its acidity. Also enjoyable as an aperitif on its own.

Winery Story: Azienda Agricola Cieck was founded in 1985 by Remo Falconieri, a typewriter designer who turned his passion for winemaking into a career. Inspired by French sparkling wine traditions, Falconieri began with just a few hectares of vineyards and produced his first harvest of around 2,500 bottles of Erbaluce. Today, Cieck is celebrated for its authentic expressions of Erbaluce, both still and sparkling, which highlight the distinctive Canavese terroir. The winery remains family-run, maintaining a strong commitment to traditional pergola-trained vines—many averaging 50 years of age—and sustainable practices that preserve the character and heritage of the region.
