The Domain: Chateau Chante-Alouette was taken over in 1995 by the D’Arfeuille family. Benoit d’Arfeuille gave a n ew lease of life to this estate by increasing the size of the vineyard and by introducing wine making methods that married tradition and the latest technology. Chante-Alouette means the song of a lark.
Chateau Pavie and Chateau la Gaffeliere as neighbors, Chateau Change-Alouette is close to the medieval town of Saint Emilion. The soil is sandy with veins of clay running through it and contributes elegance and softness to the wines.
