The Domain: Luigi e Lucina is a family-owned winery located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. The winery is named after Luigi da Porto and Lucina Savorgnan, the real-life couple believed to have inspired Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The winery has been producing wines since 1928 and is known for its crisp, aromatic whites, particularly Pinot Grigio.
The vineyards are situated close to the Adriatic Sea, benefiting from the cooling breezes and clay soils that are ideal for growing a variety of grapes, including Pinot Grigio, Refosco, Friulano, and more.
