Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): Sangiovese (75 %), Canaiolo (15 %), Merlot (5 %), Cabernet (5 %)
Localization: Tuscany, Italy
Tasting Notes: Cherry-red. Nose of wild strawberries and redcurrants with a violet note. Supple palate with a soft mouthfeel, powdery texture, polished tannins and fresh aromas. A very likeable wine that shows at its best whilst still driven by youthful aromatics.
The Domain: Thanks to the experience and professionalism of the oenologist Gianni Iseppi, our cellar is always at the forefront. We have gone from a traditional winemaking method to a more sustainable and quality-oriented approach, introducing, over 15 years ago, the Ganimede winemaking method combined with temperature control.
By means of attention, continuous monitoring and specific technical advice. There are several parameters that affect and indicate the right time of harvest (sugar content, Ph, varietal and health characteristics as well as atmospheric events, are all factors that each year contribute to establishing the harvest calendar). Thanks to the numerous company visits, which are periodically carried out by our agronomist, following and advising our members, as well as verifying that the products are flawless at every stage of processing, we arrive at the conferment of excellent quality grapes. The use of the Ganimede® Methodit allowed us to obtain homogeneity of the macerate, with an optimal contact between the skins and the liquid. All fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, managing to obtain wines with softer, balanced and elegant tannins. The refinement, which represents a fundamental moment especially for the production of our great Tuscan red wines, can take place in steel or wooden containers. Our oenologist Gianni Iseppi selects the precious woods in which the Chianti DOCGs and our important IGTs with the “Supertuscan” style acquire elegance and become sips of pleasure. The wholesomeness of the wines from the cellar is also guaranteed by an accurate control and careful verification of the cleaning and sanitizing phases of the equipment and environments, which ends with the bottling and packaging of the product.
