Alcohol: 14%
Grape(s): 54.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38.9% Merlot, 6.5% Petit Verdot
Localization: Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Tasting Notes: Dark and intense color. Beautifully pure and fresh on the nose with ripe fruity aromas. Luscious and smooth mouthfeel with silky tannins. The finish is very precise and has great depth.
Food pairing: Chateau Latour is best paired with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised, and grilled dishes. Chateau Latour is also good when matched with Asian dishes, rich fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta.
The Domain: Château Latour is situated in the heart of the Médoc wine region, about 50 km northwest of Bordeaux, where the legend of the vineyards of Bordeaux began. Owned by the Pinault family since 1993, the Château’s prime terroir, l’Enclos, overlooks the estuary of the Gironde river which, over the centuries, has given the vineyard its geological complexity and, on a daily basis, ensures a mild climate. The Pauillac de Château Latour is made from vines with an average age of 25 years that come from plots known as ‘Saint Anne’ that are owned by the Estate and are situated at the southwestern end of the Pauillac appellation. We also use young vines from the Enclos which cannot yet go into the Grand Vin blend.
