Tasting Notes: Masot means "small landowner", which is emblematic of the winery because Masot is a small family-owned winery in a small fairytale city in Veneto, IT. The wine itself is a perfect, everyday Prosecco that can elevate any brunch hang with its fruity and vibrant flavors.
Notes: From vineyards aged 20-25 years from the Belvedere vineyard with its main clay and limestone soils. Located in a very hilly area the grapes are hand-harvested in early September, gently pressed and separated between first and second pressing. The primary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and then ages for four months on lees. Secondary fermentation takes place over a month utilizing the Charmot method. Aged for 2-3 months in bottle before release.
The Domain: The Da Ros family has lived in a small town called Sarmede, in Veneto, for generations. In 2009 the brothers Andrea and Daniele Da Ros decided to found “Masot - Fiabe di vino”, combining everything their grandfather Arturo taught them with their education from the prestigious “Cerletti” school of enology in Conegliano. ‘Masot’ means “small landowner” and it was for many years a nickname for the Da Ros family. In this way, they honor their bond between family tradition and their focus on their respectful stewardship of the land.
