The history of our brand dates back to 1960 when couple formed by Dolores García and Jaime Palacios opened a family butcher's shop in Albelda de Iregua, La Rioja (Spain), from which Grupo Palacios would be born.
As we have mentioned, Grupo Palacios originated in a family butcher's shop in Albelda de Iregua, where the Palacios couple dispensed artisan Chorizo to their neighbors. However, in 1983 they wanted to expand their business and with the help of their children they opened a 43,000 square foot factory dedicated exclusively to the production of string Chorizo.
Right from the start, the company has stood out for the production of 100% natural Chorizo, and has continued to grow and diversify over the years. Thus, in 1998 it became the first Spanish company authorized by the United States to sell meat products in the country. In addition, the purchase of Elore Enterprises in 2016, allowed it to establish its own manufacturing plant and sales office in Miami.
