The Domain: We run our vineyards following organic and sustainable farming practices.
We apply green manure, and cultivate legumes in alternate rows to bring organic substance to the vineyard, avoiding using non-organic fertilizers.
We prefer the cultivation, even manual, of the soil on the row to favor the development of the vines and control weeds.
On a total area of 80 hectares, our 20 hectares of vineyards are located in the most suitable plots for soil quality, sun exposure and microclimate.
Placed on ancient river terraces, they enjoy strong temperature variations, which give the wines great intensity of aromas and integrated acidity.
In the four vineyards - Baruccia, Palazzina, Galassino and Monte Paderno - we cultivate Sangiovese , Albana , Famoso , Trebbiano , and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the only non-native grape variety that has now become at home in Romagna. The vineyards are located in the Romagna Doc production area , within the San Vicino / Mercato Saraceno sub-area, in the midpoint of the Savio Valley.
