The Domain: The Laurens family has been established in the village of Clairvaux d'Aveyron for several generations in the heart of the Marcillac valley. Starting from a few hectares of vines on the steep hillsides of the valley, they developed the estate to 25 hectares in the Marcillac appellation area today. They have selected the slopes with the best exposure for the optimal expression of the local grape variety, Fer Servadou, known as "Mansois." Two types of terroirs form their vineyard: clay soils rich in iron oxide from which they take their name "Rougier", surmounted by limestone scree from the Causses.

In the 1960s, Henri Laurens helped relaunch the Marcillac Appellation. Then his children and their spouses - Michel and Maryse, and Gilbert and Martine - took over the estate with 3 hectares of vines and continued to develop it. To diversify the activity, they created a distillery with the acquisition of a traditional copper still. Now, the next generation - Vincent, Eric, and Pascal - are preserving and growing this family heritage.

The family follows the principle of agriculture that respects the environment (grass between the rows, control of treatments, tillage), managing their plot diversity as an asset to allow the grapes to express their maximum potential. They have adhered to the "High Environmental Value" charter to highlight the diversity of fauna and flora that characterize their vines.
