Tasting Notes: Deep, garnet red in color, the Bricco Fiasco has a fine, ethereal nose that tantalizes with fruity and spicy aromas layered under notes of tobacco and licorice. It is warm and rich on the palate very soft in the mouth, balancing ripe and sweet tannins with excellent freshness.

96 points Decanter: Bricco Fiasco is a single cru, vinified by itself since 1978, today from vines of 85 years old. After long maceration and aging in botti grandi, the wine opens up to smoky woodland notes, with citrus leaf, bark, wild strawberry and rose water delicacy. Full of sucrosity on the palate, the attack is youthful, with firm acidity and grainy, very elegant tannins. Structure and concentration are perfectly woven and poised, giving to this cru terrific balance that will count for aging. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2050

Food pairing: Lamb

These are mainly populated with old vines producing a low yields of small, concentrated berries. A majority of which are Nebbiolo, but holdings also include plantings of Dolcetto and Barbera of which both feature as varietals wines in the collection.
