Alcohol: 13,5%
Grape(s): Pinot Noir
Localization: Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
Tasting notes: This fruity and delicious wine offers good aging capacity, thanks to its well-present tannins, and can also be enjoyed in its youth.
Notes: The harvest is manual with rigorous sorting in the vineyard, the grapes are destemmed then stored in vats whose temperature is regulated using flags. Pre-fermentation maceration for a few days followed by alcoholic fermentation. The rhythm of punching down and pumping over is decided during tasting. The maceration and fermentation temperatures are controlled. After pressing, the new wine is then placed in French oak barrels for the entire duration of its aging.
Food pairing: The wine pairs well with French cuisine, particularly with feathered game, goose, goose liver dishes, duck breast with berry sauce, and soft cheeses.
The Domain: Roger JOBARD, Claudie's father, created the Rully vineyard in the 1970s. A vine nurseryman for several generations, he has put his expertise into practice in choosing the vines best suited to the terroir.
In 2002, Claudie, oenologist and graduate of the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine), began her first vinifications in Rully and continued the activity of vine nurseries in DEMIGNY 71150.
Laurence Jobard, Claudie's mother, a renowned oenologist in Beaune, has passed on the finest plots of her family estate in Pommard. This ancient estate has seen seven generations of winemakers succeed each other.
