The Domain: After Charles Berthoux and Georges Berthoux, Pascal Danjean and his son Charles-Antoine now constitute the third and fourth generations of this Burgundian family estate. Based in Jambles, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the estate presents its Givry and Mercurey wines.

In 1958, Georges Berthoux took over from his father, Charles, and began cultivating the vines to produce his wines. He then combined wine-making with sheep farming.

For nearly 40 years, he acquired plots to develop his vineyard in Jambles, Givry, and Mercurey communes. In 1993, he decided to stop raising sheep and devote himself solely to cultivating vines.

The same year, Pascal Danjean, his son-in-law, joined in and began to vinify his first harvests. In 2002, he took over the entire family vineyard.

Lover of vineyard work, he manages the estate per sustainable cultivation methods to produce quality grapes and express all the typicality of our terroir.
