Alcohol: 14.5%
Grape(s): 100% Nebbiolo
Localization: Piedmont, Italy
Tasting Notes: The Ettore Germano Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba has a robust fruit profile with dried cherry and blackcurrant. Those aromas segue to dried rosemary, licorice, iron ore and red brick. That metallic earthy quality is a trait often found in the full-bodied Nebbiolos from Serralunga d'Alba. This is a production of 9,500 bottles.
The Domain: Ettore Germano is a great name in Piedmontese wine production. Based in Serralunga d’Alba, on the esteemed Cerretta hill, Sergio Germano is the fourth generation in his family to produce wines in this beautiful area. In recent years, Ettore Germano has changed its production style, today preferring to look back to traditional methods to allow the grapes to express themselves in the fullest and the wines have never tasted better. A huge fan of white and sparkling wines, Ettore Germano, unlike a lot of their colleagues in Barolo, also produce a host of sumptuous bottles of white and fizz.
