Mercier chocolates
In the Berry region, the passion for good chocolate has been passed down through four generations of the Mercier family. Today, it is Daniel and his son Julien who perpetuate the know-how inherited from their forefathers in the manufacture of biscuits and chocolates. A traditional manufacturing process combined with a rigorous selection of the best cocoa varieties.
Because a good chocolate starts with a good bean, the Maison Mercier has joined the association of "Chocolatiers Engagés" which campaigns for a more responsible production of cocoa. Moreover, Daniel Mercier is not only a Master Chocolatier but also a Planter Chocolatier. By creating its "Ticul" plantation in Mexico, the chocolate factory is promoting a short circuit, where working hand in hand with local producers and respecting the environment are priorities. From this plantation comes the exceptional cocoa from which Mercier's succulent chocolates are made.
If the quality of the chocolate is one of the pillars of the chocolate factory, the creativity of its products is another. Chocolate board games, chocolates in the shape of cheeses... In form or in content, the Maison Mercier has made chocolate an art and its imagination is limitless. Each year, it reinvents mixtures, combines other flavours and creates subtle marriages between ancient and contemporary notes.
