Banana French Toast- Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

For this flavor, we turned to the breakfast dish that always felt fancy and elegant as a kid: French toast. The thick-sliced kind with a sticky-crispy crust, a soft-creamy center, and a pile of slivered bananas on top all doused in maple syrup. This ice cream hits all the same satisfying notes. Silky custard bursts with ripe banana flavor before fading into a maple undercurrent that’s as rich as the pure Vermont syrup it’s made with (courtesy of our partners at Butternut Mountain Farm). And the French toast gravel — spiced with dark brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, butter, and more maple — softens delicately into the cream. Just like how the caramelized edge of a slice of French toast complements its custardy center.
