Tasting Notes: Ora is the result of the selection of the best vineyard plots, meticulous vine-growing and vinification. The wine is matured in concrete vats and new oak barrels. Beautiful deep dark red color. Sweet spices, pepper and ripe red berries. Note of jam and vanilla. Of great complexity with a smooth and round texture, beautiful soft tannins.
"Possibly the finest of the trio is the Vacqueyras Ora, which is 55% Grenache, 25% Syrah and the rest Mourvèdre. It shows the same purity and finesse-driven style as the other cuvées yet has slightly more oomph in its fruit, medium to full body, rocking purity, and terrific notes of blue fruits, violets, blood orange, and exotic flowers. It’s going to hit the ground running and keep for a decade."
The Domain: Each vineyard plot as well as each grape variety is vinified on their own and our specific approach consists of gentle maceration of the grapes in a concrete tank over a period of 20 to 30 days. The tanks have a temperature control system and the time of maceration is carefully thought out according to the tastings and following our consultant enologist’s advice.
