Plaisir au Beaujolais is a soft washed-rind cheese, created to mark the arrival of the world-famous Beaujolais Nouveau and celebrate the event in true style. Made from pasteurized cow's milk, its rind is repeatedly rubbed with Beaujolais wine, giving the cheese its distinctive character. On the palate, it reveals a soft, creamy, melting texture with a slightly crumbly centre. Its flavors are full-bodied and aromatic, with a hint of forest undergrowth.
