Alcohol: 13.5%

Grape(s): 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc

Tasting Notes: Beautifully ripe and sexy, with a massive bouquet of blackcurrants, macerated black cherries, and smoked earth, it's full-bodied, opulent, and layered on the palate, with serious fruit. This brilliant wine will be approachable in its youth yet also evolve gracefully for 15 years or more. It should also be an incredible value

Notes: Densimetric sorting before vinification by plot in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Alcoholic fermentation is accompanied by pumping over and punching down, followed by malolactic fermentation in vats. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels (50% new).

The Domain: Located in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, Château Puyblanquet is an estate of 24 hectares, of which 19 are planted with vines.

Placed on a limestone plateau as well as clay-limestone hillsides, this single-unit vineyard is made up of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Owners of Château La Gaffelière (Saint-Émilion), the Malet Roquefort family has carried forward a unique history with Château Puyblanquet for nearly two centuries. Though the estate belonged to this family from 1819 to 1959, it was reacquired again in 2020, more than 60 years after its sale.

Developed and vinified by the teams of Château La Gaffelière, Château Puyblanquet is a Saint-Émilion wine recognized for its great elegance. Echoing the history that has animated the property for more than 200 years, each bottle is adorned with the historic label of the property.
