Alcohol: 13%
Grape(s): 100% Chardonnay
Location: Mâcon Fuissé (Burgundy, France)
Tasting Notes: This Mâcon Fuissé has pale lemon pulp color and beautifully ripe aromas of spiced pears, fresh peaches, and lemon curd, along with a touch of subtle vanilla. The generous flavors are rich with citrus, pineapple, pit fruit, and lemon butter showing on the creamy-textured front palate. On the long finish, vibrant citrus and stony minerals harness the rich, ripe fruit and pull it along as it coats the palate.
Food pairing: Grilled fish, herb roasted chicken
The Domain: Jean-Paul Thibert’s Domaine Thibert Miranda is a small, family-owned estate in Fuissé making top-quality white Burgundies by keeping yields low in their well-located, estate-owned vineyards. Their Saint Veran and Pouilly Fuissé are excellent, but this Mâcon Fuissé is always my pick as their most stunning bargain.
