There’s a good deal more structure and character here than most wines from this appellation. The quite fine tannins build nicely through the long finish without ever becoming too much. A blend of 50 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 50 percent Merlot. Drink or hold.

The philosophy of Château Ramafort is somewhat different to many chateaux in Bordeaux due to their unique storage capacity. In 1990, they built the largest underground cellar in the region, locally known as “The Cathedral,” where they have the ability to stock over ten separate vintages at any given time.
Château Ramafort in 1995 was the first Médoc vineyard to win the Coupe des Cru Bourgeois.
Today, vintages from 2005 to 2010 are currently being enjoyed in over 40 countries around the world.
Chateau Ramafort is part of the Group “Les Domaines CGR,” along with Château La Cardonne and Château Grivière.
