Notes: Age of vines: 25 years. Harvested by hand, at the end of October. This red wine ferments in used 2000 litre acacia casks for about 6-8 weeks.
Food Pairing: This wine fits perfect with dark meat, traditional barbecue and steak, also with cheese, dark chocolate.
The Domain: Weingut Steininger is a family-run winery situated in the wine growing village of Langenlois in the Kamptal Valley. Grüner Veltliner represents over 50% of their production and can be found in different styles, from a light summer wine to powerful and full-bodied. The Steininger winery is also well known for their impressive sparkling wines, or Sekts, which are produced according to the traditional bottle fermenting method.
